Core Responsibilities

• Monitor the warp core, matter-antimatter reaction and plasma distribution systems.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with warp propulsion diagnostics and maintenance.
• Identify instability, efficiency loss and abnormal readings before they threaten the ship.
• Coordinate emergency shutdown, containment and core-ejection procedures when required.
• Maintain the warp plasma network, injectors and associated propulsion controls.
• Advise Engineering and Command on safe warp limits and propulsion risks.
• Support repairs and recalibration following damage, refits or unusual spatial phenomena.

Role During Live Missions

During live missions, the Warp Core Specialist focuses on propulsion stability, power flow and the technical risks associated with high-warp or emergency manoeuvres. They support the Chief Engineer by interpreting unusual readings, recommending corrective action and responding quickly when the core or plasma systems become unstable. The role suits a player who enjoys detailed technical problem-solving and close teamwork within Engineering.
