Core Responsibilities

• Provide specialist knowledge relevant to the Navigator’s current mission.
• Support Command and department heads with focused research, analysis or field expertise.
• Assist with unusual assignments that fall outside standard departmental responsibilities.
• Join away teams when specialist knowledge is required on site.
• Prepare briefings, reports and recommendations within their area of expertise.
• Coordinate with Science, Operations, Medical, Tactical and Command as mission needs change.
• Adapt their contribution to suit diplomatic, exploratory, cultural, technical or humanitarian objectives.

Role During Live Missions

During live missions, the Mission Specialist contributes focused expertise wherever the developing situation requires it. They may interpret unfamiliar cultures, assess unusual technology, support scientific investigation or assist an away team with a specialised objective. The role suits a flexible player who enjoys adapting to different story types and finding useful ways to support the wider crew.
