Core Responsibilities

• Support the Commanding Officer in the execution of all mission objectives.
• Coordinate the work of department heads and ensure orders are carried out efficiently.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation and readiness of the USS Navigator.
• Maintain awareness of crew performance, morale and departmental concerns.
• Chair senior staff briefings when directed by the Captain.
• Assume command of the vessel whenever the Commanding Officer is unavailable.
• Act as the principal link between the Captain and the wider crew.

Role During Live Missions

During live missions, the Executive Officer helps translate the Captain’s priorities into clear assignments for the crew. They coordinate departmental responses, keep track of developing problems and step in to maintain momentum when several situations demand attention at once. The role rewards organisation, communication and the ability to support other players without overshadowing them.
