Core Responsibilities

• Pilot the USS Navigator during routine operations, emergencies and combat conditions.
• Plot courses using navigational data, sensor information and mission requirements.
• Manage orbital insertion, docking, undocking and close-quarters manoeuvres.
• Coordinate flight plans with Command, Operations, Science and Tactical.
• Oversee shuttlecraft, runabout and workbee launch and recovery procedures.
• Monitor propulsion response, navigational hazards and helm readiness.
• Advise the command team on safe routes, manoeuvring limits and flight options.

Role During Live Missions

During live missions, the Chief Flight Control Officer handles the Navigator’s movement through space and responds directly to the command team’s navigational orders. They interpret sensor and tactical information, propose viable courses and manoeuvres, and help give the mission a clear sense of motion. The role suits a player who enjoys quick decisions, spatial problem-solving and close coordination with Command, Science, Operations and Tactical.
