Biography

Elara Sovek was born in 2360 aboard Starbase 12, the daughter of a Vulcan diplomatic attaché and a Human Starfleet engineer. Her early life was divided between Vulcan, Earth and a succession of Federation postings, exposing her to different cultures long before she considered Starfleet service. Although raised with Vulcan discipline and emotional control, Elara never rejected her Human heritage. Instead, she learned to regard instinct and emotion as sources of information—valuable when understood, dangerous only when ignored.

She entered Starfleet Academy in 2378, as the Federation began the long process of rebuilding after the Dominion War.
