Core Responsibilities

• Lead the USS Navigator’s medical department and coordinate its personnel.
• Diagnose and treat illness, injury and exposure-related conditions.
• Oversee emergency medicine, surgery, recovery and long-term care.
• Advise Command on medical risk, crew fitness and biological hazards.
• Coordinate responses to outbreaks, mass-casualty incidents and humanitarian emergencies.
• Work closely with Science, Operations, Security and Counselling on complex cases.
• Maintain medical readiness, patient confidentiality and Starfleet standards of care.

Role During Live Missions

During live missions, the Chief Medical Officer assesses injuries, manages medical emergencies and advises Command on biological or physiological risks. They may coordinate triage, quarantine, surgery or humanitarian care while working closely with Science, Security and Counselling. The role suits a player who enjoys character-focused scenes, ethical decisions and calm problem-solving under pressure.
